I've got a dual boot system with Linux and windows 8.1 Moral of the story: back your stuff up I think had I backed up my grub and my /dev/sda boot partitions I'd be able to piece things back together. I think because grub isn't able to find the location of my boot*.efi file for windows. That started the fails.īoot-repair helped, though it has messed with my dual boot windows. Edit for solved: The problem was started because I accidentally (absent minded) installed linuxmint 17.3 using the liveDVD in legacy mode, not UEFI.
